Privacy Policy

This "Privacy Policy" describes how Samsung collects, processes and protects your personal information. Samsung's Privacy Policy applies to all Services provided by Samsung or Samsung's Subsidiaries and any Services or products that display or refer to this Privacy Policy, regardless of whether you use the Services through Samsung's website, your mobile phone, mobile device, TV, PC or any other equipment suitable to use the Services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Services or products which provide for their own privacy policy.

Collection and use of your information

Samsung products do not include any features that access the Internet to provide you with additional information or to share data with others. Some personal information you enter might be included in your files in the form of metadata (data on data). Instructions for removing metadata from your files can be found in the supplementary information about the Windows explorer. Except as described in this statement, personal information you provide won't be transferred to third parties without your consent.

Cookies

At times, we may use a feature of your browser to send your computer a "cookie". Cookies are used by thousands of web sites in order to enhance your web experience. A cookie is a small data file that assigns a unique anonymous number to your browser from a web server and is stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies can not damage or read information stored on your hard drive. Cookies make your web experience more enjoyable by storing passwords and preferences. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse all cookies or to inform you when a cookie is being placed on your hard drive. However, your election not to accept cookies may diminish your experience with the Site because of additional time needed to repeatedly enter information.

Create file or other documents

If you choose to create a file, data source, or other document on your hard disk, the path to that file is saved in your computer. In some cases, the file might include your user name or information.

Author name

Samsung products contain the name of the author who created a note, the note’s sections or its notes. Samsung products show the author name for the last person who modified a note. Samsung products also store timestamps in the file, including the creation time and the last modified time.

Recycle Bin

When a page or a section is deleted, Samsung products put it into that your computer’s Recycle Bin. You can access your computer’s Recycle Bin by clicking the Recycle Bin section within each computer. You can restore pages and sections from the Recycle Bin by moving them back into your other sections. You can permanently delete them by clicking Recycle Bin > Delete.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

We will not share or disclose your Personal Information to any third party (including Samsung's Subsidiaries) without your consent, except (a) where this is necessary in order to provide our Services to you, (b) to pursue our legitimate interests or (c) if we are required to disclose your Personal Information in order to comply with any legal obligation or the decision of a judicial authority or (d) where we are otherwise permitted to do so by applicable law. We will never share your Personal Information with third parties if this is not permissible under applicable law. You acknowledge that any Personal Information that you submit to our Services or website which is typically visible to others (e.g. blogs, forums and discussion pages) may result in such information being published and being visible to others. You should take common sense precautions about the Personal Information you provide in such environments and acknowledge that your Personal Information will be published in such a way for others to see. We will not make your Personal Information available to third parties for any other purposes as described in this Privacy Policy and we will not sell your Personal Information.

Children

Samsung Service is not designed for use by children without their parent's supervision. We ask that anyone under the age of thirteen not submit any Personal Information through a Samsung Service. We do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children under the age of thirteen (13), and therefore we do not knowingly distribute such information to third parties. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13 we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

Samsung might occasionally update this Privacy Statement. The "last updated" date at the bottom of the Privacy Statement is updated with every revision. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Statement to be informed of how Samsung is protecting your information.
